What do you think when you hear Chanel? Classic? French? How about Texan? Well that's exactly what we got in the Chanel Pre-Fall 2014 show held in Dallas back in December. I love all the western style infused into the collection. The aztec prints, fringe, and cowboy boots are a great change from what we usually expect from Chanel. Although, I think lately we've learned to expect the unexpected from Karl Lagerfeld.

I'm on my way back home from Florida today, but here's an outfit I wore a couple weekends ago. It was another unseasonably warm day so I didn't need a coat - yay! It was even warm enough to wear my distressed jeans without fear of cold air blowing on my legs. I decided to match my bright turquoise accessories and keep the rest of my outfit neutral.

Song of the Day: The River Runs Low (Bruce Hornsby and The Range)

Sweater: Madewell (Shopbop), Jeans: Current/Elliott, Boots: White Mountain c/o Marhsalls, Necklace: SparkleFarm, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Saks Fifth Avenue), Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports snake ring & Mom's

I'm headed off to Florida for a Harry Potter Celebration weekend at Universal Orlando, so what's better way to celebrate than to post a Harry Potter-ish outfit!  How adorable is this Harry Potter inspired necklace from Julia, who has a shop on etsy: Eternal Girl.  Lydia and I are both featuring pieces from her store on our blogs today, so be sure to check out Lydia's post featuring the Pinwheel Greeting Card.

Julia makes each of her pieces — whether it's a necklace, greeting card or earring — from hand-drawn designs she creates herself. Each drawing features an object that has specific symbolism to henna tradition. I love the unique style of all her pieces, just look how cute her owl and raccoon necklaces are.

According to Pottermore, I'm a Ravenclaw, and I'm inclined to agree. But for this instance let's pretend I'm a Gryffindor - so I'm sporting a crimson sweater (technically burgundy) and shoes with my gold lace skirt.  And I threw in some Slytherin with my silver snake ring.

Sweater: Everlane, Skirt: made by mom, Boots: Alexander Wang (The Outnet), Necklace c/o Eternal Girl, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La),  Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports snake ring & Mom's

It was so windy while taking these photos, I'm surprised I didn't lose my skirt. Ha ha.

Sharing some of my favorite blogger looks as of late.  These amazing outfits are from my favorite bloggers, Style Scrapbook and Camille Over the Rainbow.

Online jewelry store Emitations recently sent me this gorgeous byzantine style statement necklace and earring set. I've been on the hunt for a neutral colored statement necklace for a while so it was a perfect piece for me.  Their mission is to provide the best online luxurious shopping experience for everyday women on a budget.  I definitely think they live up to that statement, the store carries a myriad of pieces to suit any style, and all at great prices.  I also loved their selection of stackable rings, especially the Elle collection.  What pieces do you fancy?

Necklace c/o Emitations, Top: French Connection c/o Marshalls, Skirt: 3.1 Phillip Lim (Net-a-Porter sale), Heels: Dolce & Gabanna (Uptown Consignments), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports & Mom's

And a couple shots of Lydia and I because we met up on Monday to take these photos.

Press Release: IRIS & INK – THEOUTNET.COM’s in-house label – unveils its Spring/ Summer 2014 collection of stylish, versatile separates featuring luxe fabrics and a soft color palette that reference prominent spring trends, starting from February 2014.

Subtle textures add interest to polished, clean silhouettes. The oversized cocoon coat remains a key shape for spring and is updated in lightweight tweed, while suede features throughout the range in bright blues and dusty grays. Raised paisley and croc-effect jacquard sit alongside fine-knit cashmere and brushed silks. Monochrome continues to look sharp for spring, while lemon, peppermint, rose, sky blue and pops of flamingo pink add a fresh feel for the new season. The range balances structured pieces with relaxed silhouettes, creating a sense of tailored ease and effortless sophistication. Highlights include a sports luxe tuxedo pant, a wrap skirt with dramatic ruffle detailing, a suede shirtdress and distressed boyfriend jeans.

The collection ranges from $35 for a slub tee to $525 for a suede shirtdress. Below are some of my favorite pieces as well as their pricing. All Exclusively Available at THE OUTNET.COM in February

Ahh Friday, my second favorite day of the week. Saturday is obviously my favorite because you don't have to worry about anything: no work the next day, you can do anything you want during the day and stay up late. Sunday is okay, but like Meg Ryan says in Kate & Leopold, it gets spoiled because you know you have to go to work Monday.  I've got quite a large amount planned for this long weekend. Probably starting with a trip to Marhsalls on Saturday, then going to a fun gemstone place with my sister, and on Sunday getting my nails done with my best friends and we will probably go out to eat and see Frozen after.

Right when I get back into the groove of going back to the office 4 days a week I have a crazy week ahead of me. Next Monday the office is closed, I'm going in on Tuesday, then Wednesday I'm working at home and then I'm off Thursday - Monday for my trip to Florida. I'm headed to the Harry Potter Celebration weekend they're having at Universal. My sister and I planned to go months ago and bought our tickets and then earlier this week Universal emailed me asking if I would like to cover the event for my site, magical-menagerie.com, score!
