You know how there are always a few pieces you have wanted for years and can't stop thinking about?  Well this is one of mine, a Marc Jacobs jacket I have been on the hunt for since 2005, that's 7 years folks... I fell in love with it when I saw it on Emma Watson in Teen Vogue and have been checking eBay religiously since, but it was never in my size, or it was $100+. I scored this one for $30.99, on eBay of course!!  If you recall, this is a similar situation to my other Marc Jacobs blazer: I saw it on Emma, needed to have it, and found it on eBay. Although I found that one in 2006 (and again more recently when I needed a larger size.)

Also, my favorite wide leg jeans have been feeling very neglected as of late.  I haven't been able to wear them all that often because during the week I wear flats while I walk to work and I can't have them dragging on the ground getting ruined.  But I think I may have a solution - for now - I'll stuff them into my flat boots while I walk and then change into my sky-high heels at the office. I took the opportunity to wear them when I went out to eat last Friday (and then for a quick trip to Marshalls where I bought a fur gilet I didn't need)

Well, that was certainly a ramble-y post, whoopsie!

Today I'm sharing some fun news for all you Awards Season junkies! Throughout this month one of my favorite online stores, The Outnet, will be sharing a series of videos in their "The Outnet Goes To Hollywood" series! In the videos Hollywood Insiders (Anita Patrickson & Jessica Paster, Actress Rebecca Romijn & more) will be revealing their favorite stars, designers & how to get red carpet ready. 6 videos have been released so far and you can watch my favorite below!

Stylist Anita Patrickson talks about styling Emma Watson, aka one of my favorite actresses, for the red carpet. Emma always looks amazing on the red carpet because she knows what works for her and still takes risks.

And watch all the videos in the playlist here (it will cycle through them all):
This was a wild week.  Monday and Tuesday were normal; Wednesday was where it got weird.  I got up at 5:40 and got dressed as usual. Then I had my 4 mini donuts for breakfast and checked blogs before grabbing my keys to turn on my car at 6:20 to warm it up. BUT, upon opening the door, I saw that there was tons of snow everywhere and the streets weren't plowed. *face palm*  I had to text my boss to let her know I would need to work from home and then went back to bed for 2 hours. So that outfit will be worn next week.

Yesterday was back to business as usual and I went into the office. After work I stopped at home to get my huge pile of mail which included magazines, a gift from Style House PR AND my package from eBay!!! If you follow me on Instagram you know what it is, if not you shall have to wait to find out!

Tonight I will be going on a blogger date with Lydia and Christine! YAY! And to top it off, this is a three day weekend for me because of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday! DOUBLE YAY :)

Monday: Sweater: Rag & Bone Boys for Neiman Marcus x Target, Jeans:  Free People (Gilt Groupe), Rain Boots: däv giveaway win, Watch: Michael Kors

Tuesday: Blazer: Elie Tahari thrifted, Tee: H&M, Necklace c/o Maximal Art, Pants: Maison Scotch c/o Aritzia, Heels: Candie's old, Watch: Michael Kors (Lord & Taylor)

Thursday: Dress: DKNY (Net-a-Porter Sale), Boots c/o DMSX by Donald J Pliner & Lucky, Watch c/o Caravelle by Bulova & Lucky
Today is the debut of my new DKNY dress!  I love how easy it is to wear: just throw it on, add tights & shoes and you're done! Everyone thinks work went into it because it's not your basic dress; the sweater is attached. This is also the first time you're seeing these DMSX boots that I got from LuckyFabb in September...oops! Ha ha.

What is your go to, easy to style, piece?!  I have a few, this being the newest addition to the collection.

We are heading in to the time of year where people get the "Winter Blues." They don't want to wear anything but dark colors and hate venturing outside in the freezing cold.  To combat this, I suggest wearing happy bright colors or patterns and layering so you can keep your outfits interesting and fun!  Even if you wear darker colors (like in this look) if you pair things correctly your outfit will not be boring. Winter is a lot better when you feel good.  Today I've made a dream outfit using clothes from Cruise.

I started off the look with this gorgeous M Missoni cardigan coat as the focal point. Next I added some bright jacquard pants from ASOS.  The look was finished off with a Zara sweater, Jimmy Choo pumps and various jewelry.

Coat: M Missoni, Pants: ASOS, Pumps: Jimmy Choo, Sweater: Zara, Jewelry: ASOS

I haven't worn these pants in a while so I thought it was time to take them out for a spin! They are quite thin though so I'm wearing leggings underneath so I don't freeze.  Unfortunately these pants are a bit hard to style because of the coloring.  Normally I would want to wear them with black, but the base is navy blue so that doesn't work out too well. Luckily I now have this burgundy blazer which goes perfectly with the belt!

Today I am sharing some inspirational Winter outfits. I would be happy to stroll around New York City in any of these looks. How about you? Who or what is inspiring your outfits these days?

How GORGEOUS are those Alexander Wang booties?! I need them, but they are old so it may be difficult.
I found them on The Outnet, but they sold out.

I wish I had Camille's sense of style, she always looks perfect.
And she has my dream job (Net-a-Porter), not that I don't love my current job ;)

Happy Friday everyone!!!  This week was unseasonably warm, I didn't even wear a coat yesterday...madness!  Yesterday I went out with a bunch of people from work to see one of our co-workers sing - she was so good!  Beforehand I went to get a mani/pedi with two other girls, my second one in ten days, I need to stop before I get used to it!  I didn't get home until 1:15 so it's a good thing I didn't have to wake up at 5:40 this morning, ha ha.

Hopefully I will have a nice relaxing weekend and do absolutely nothing.  But I think I need to get a haircut, mine is getting a teeny bit too long...I just have no idea what to do with it anymore.

Monday: Jeans: Vintage America (gift), Top c/o OASAP, Sweater: Ami dans la Rue (Shopbop Gift Card), Boots: Vintage (eBay) Watch: Michael Kors
Tuesday: Tee: Marc by Marc Jacobs (gift), Sweater: Kohl's (gift), Skirt: Made by Mom, Heels: Lanvin (Roundabout Consignments) Watch: Michael Kors
Wednesday: Sweater: Burberry Brit (Net-a-Porter Sale), Jeans: Free People (Gilt Groupe), Wedges: R2 (DSW), Watch: Michael Kors (Lord & Taylor)
Thursday: Sweater: American Eagle, Blazer: Good Will, Jeans: Genetic Denim jeans c/o Piperlime , Booties: Alexander Wang (gift), Necklaces c/o By Boe and Acanthus Jewelry (giveaway), Watch: Michael Kors
I am in LOVE with my new Burberry Brit sweater. It is so comfortable and warm! If I wore long sleeves under it I could probably go coat-less! It is just a teeny bit big (I bought the last one and they didn't have my size, haha), but I like things over-sized and this way I can layer more.

I'm so glad I splurged on this in the NAP sales. Sometimes I'm too stingy with my money and don't buy things even if I really love them, then can't stop thinking about them. Another problem I have is buying a few things that are super on sale instead of buying one thing I really love (not that I don't enjoy what I buy, but I would probably like the one thing far more.) Am I the only person with that problem?

Song of the Day: Romeo & Juliet by Dire Straits
(I was going to pick a song that went better with the outfit, like Baby's In Black by The Beatles, but I've wanted to use this song for a post title for a while because it's one of my favorites...especially the live version)

Since I didn't share my Christmas outfits with you, I thought I would post some candid photos from my holiday break. As you can see I'm a child and like to make weird faces... There were some more amusing shots but they included family members and I like to keep them off the blog as much as possible. ;)

My mom is always snapping photos at family events (I do too sometimes) so we have a way to remember.  She makes beautiful scrapbooks as well. I used to make them, but now I just put photos in a regular album and keep them on an external hard drive. Does your family take lots of photos?

First two photos: Marc Jacobs polka dot blazer, H&M Tee, Genetic Denim jeans c/o Piperlime
Third Photo: thrifted blazer, Willi Smith tank top, Free People jeans
The Rest: T. Babaton sweater c/o Aritzia, Free People jeans
