Say "hello" to my adorable new Marc by Marc Jacobs tee, it was a gift from Santa!  For it's debut I decided to try something a little crazy and paired it with this lace skirt, sparkly blazer and bright blue heels!  If only I didn't have to wear tights, I hate that they contrast so much with the shoes.  Even though this outfit is full of designer pieces, it isn't expensive because they were thrifted, gifted or ebay-ed!  Who doesn't love a good deal? They make my life.

Song of the Day: Everybody Has the Blues by James Taylor

Blazer: Moschino Cheap & Chic (eBay), Tee: Marc by Marc Jacobs, Skirt: made by mom, Heels: Lanvin (Roundabout Consignments), Flats: Me Too (DSW), Watch: Michael Kors, Sunglasses: Michael Kors (Marshalls) Bracelets: Burlington Coat Factory, Rings: Mom's

I always look forward to Net-a-Porter's End of Season sales because they allow me to own pieces by designers I admire but cannot normally afford.  I wait until the final reductions, which means I do sometimes miss out on pieces I want, but I prefer to get the best deal because I'm not made of money ;)  This year I had some store credit and Christmas money to spend.  I ordered at 6:30am and my order arrived at 4:30pm the next day, so fast!

I ended up buying a DKNY Merino wool and stretch-silk dress and a Burberry Brit Flared-hem merino wool cardigan! I guess I was in a merino wool and black mood when I made my purchases. They are classic pieces with a twist so I'm sure they will last in my wardrobe for a long time.

Did you buy anything in the sale?!

Welcome to the first This Week in Fashion post of 2013! It's a quick one today because I only went into the office Wednesday and Thursday (I work from home on Friday's now.)  I had a different outfit planned for Thursday, but it has been FREEZING (outside and in the office) so I decided to wait until next week when it will be warmer.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend planned. I'm not sure what I will be doing yet, probably being a couch potato at home.  I've been catching up on my movie watching the past couple of weeks, I'm up to 1,052 seen in my lifetime (that I can remember). AND, the 5th season of my favorite show, Merlin, premieres on SyFy tonight! I already watched the season while it was airing in the UK, but I'm going to watch again because that's how amazing it is. If you haven't seen the show I advise you to netflix/amazon instant video/whatever the series, it is AMAZING. This is the final season, which is a bit depressing, but it was a good 5 years.

Wednesday: Sweater: French Connection (TJ Maxx), Skirt: Vince Camuto (Lord & Taylor), Booties: White Mountain c/o Marshalls, Necklace: Francesca's, Watch: Michael Kors

Thursday: Top: Splendid (net-a-porter), Sweater: Tahari (TJ Maxx), Jeans: Free People (Gilt), Boots: vintage (eBay), Watch c/o Caravelle by Bulova
Since there are only two outfits today I thought I would share something else. The Net-a-Porter End of Season Sale (US) is almost done, it ends this Sunday. Make sure to snap up some great steals before it's too late! My order came yesterday, I'll share what I got next week! :)

Today I'm showing some of my favorite looks from the Pre-Fall 2013 collections. Enjoy! (click photos to enlarge a bit)

Burberry x 4, Jason Wu x 2, Michael Kors, 3.1 Phillip Lim x 2, Rag & Bone, Pringle of Scotland x 2, Proenza Schouler x 2, Thankoon Addition x 4, Theyskens' Theory, Alexander Wang x 2, Chanel x 3

About a week before Christmas, My-Wardrobe generously sent me a gift code to use on a purchase.  There were so many amazing pieces that I couldn't decide. In then end, I went for a classic that would last forever and was not something I would buy for myself under normal circumstances. What do you think? I am obsessed with the color!

My next problem is planning another trip where I'll need my passport. Back to London or Paris, perhaps? Or maybe a trip to New Zealand, Australia, Rome, Greece or Ireland! Decisions, decisions.

Happy New Year, everyone!!!!

2012 was full of fun events like LuckyFABB and adventures with friends, like my second trip to London (more) for the opening of the Harry Potter Studio Tour and camping!

Then there were also the family vacations to Myrtle Beach and my cousin's wedding, definitely some great memories.

I also left my old job and started a new one, which is still growing and changing with each day.

I am looking forward to see how much my life changes over the next year. It's going to be crazy!

What are your most memorable 2012 moments?
Happy New Years Eve!!!!  I hope you all have wonderful plans tonight, normally I spend it with my family and/or have a Disney movie marathon.  My life is quite exciting (*sarcasm*), but I really do enjoy just being lazy.  I prefer it to being out and about with tons of people around.

However, this year, And Other Brands let me borrow this gorgeous dress by Oasis for the holiday so I think I may have to go out to let it have a night on the town.  Unfortunately it isn't available on the site anymore but they have tons of other great dresses. (yes, I would be crazy to go tightless, but really, you could run from the car to the house and be fine)

Dress: Oasis borrowed ($160), Jacket: old, Heels: Lanvin (Roundabout Consignments) $82, Watch c/o Caravelle by Bulova, Perfume: Marc Jacobs Dot, Lipstick: M·A·C 'Marilyn Monroe'
