I've been wearing a lot of my burgundy clothes lately, it's one of my favorite colors to wear (I sound like a broken record, I say that all the time, ha ha.) Anywayyy, this past weekend I wore my Current/Elliott leopard jeans and threw on my 2 sizes too big sweater that I got on super clearance! I do love a good deal.  I am loving the fact that we are back in jean and sweater weather, it's so comfortable!

For those of you that have been asking: No I have not moved to the city for my internship, I commute via the train (an hour and a half) and then walking 20-30 minutes from Grand Central three days a week.  So far it's a nice walk, not sure how I'll feel in the rain, snow and freezing cold, but it works well for now. It's great exercise as well.

Happy October!! This is my favorite month because it contains some of my favorite things: Halloween, Halloween movies, my birthday, pumpkin picking, apple picking and of course the beautiful weather! In honor of Halloween approaching, I thought I would post some outfits inspired by Halloween films!

First up is a look worn by Kat (Christina Ricci) in Casper.  I have always loved this outfit and it is made up of basic pieces, so it won't really go out of style, the pieces just may tighten up a bit or loosen back up based on what is "in".  Luckily for us, oversized pieces are back so we can recreate it more closely. Kat had a thing for henleys in this film and, if I recall correctly (which I know I do), she was always in one (except for the Halloween party.) All you need is a green henley, open crochet sweater/cardigan, jeans and a small heeled ankle boot. Oh, and a big ring for your thumb!

This past Sunday my roommate and I went apple picking at Lyman Orchards!  After we went I made a delicious apple crisp with some of the apples we picked.  But back to the orchard, the weather was amazing! It was actually a bit hot at times but, when the wind was blowing, the temperature was perfect.  I took the opportunity to wear a bunch of new pieces: my new LAMade top that came in the mail last week and a skirt and necklace I bought on Saturday!

Another show I really enjoyed was the Matthew Williamson show.  The use of prints in this collection was very fresh. I loved how the photographic prints melted into a solid color and were combined with geometric prints.  There's not much to say about this collection, it pretty much speaks for itself. But I will say one more thing: beautiful!

Today let's talk about one of the biggest mall chains in the world, Westfield! They have malls everywhere, from Australia and New Zealand to London and of course in the US (which are the ones I frequent).   More specifically let's talk about one of my favorite things to shop for: shoes!  Westfield has an amazing selection of womens boots, high heels and wedges shoes!  In Australia they carry a wide variety of brands such as adidas, UGG, Billabong, drmartens, Merrell, Guess, NIKE, TOMS and even Dolce & Gabbana!

I had so much fun checking out all the shoes, below are some of my favorite finds, there are plenty more where these came from!  Make sure to check out all the womens shoes at Westfield! What do you think?

Watch out folks, I'm breaking out the sweaters!! I have a slight addition to knitwear, it's so comfortable and cardigans are the perfect thing to throw on an outfit if it gets chilly.  Yesterday I took the opportunity to layer with my new top from LAmade, it's such a fun print and I can see myself getting a lot of use out of it.

P.S. Today is my first day interning at an online fashion website in the city: New York City, that is! No details yet, not sure if I can share, but I'm very excited/nervous and hope it goes well!

P.P.S. Today is my older sister's 26th birthday! Happy Birthday, Alaina! :)

Hello, Christopher Bailey, will you marry me?  Another amazing Burberry Prorsum collection made it's way down the runway during London Fashion Week. As usual, the Burberry designer made great use of color and texture in the collection.  There is a lot of shine in this collection, which isn't too wearable for everyday life, but I'm sure we will be seeing these pieces all over come Spring.

He also debuted a brand new bag, the Blaze. Unfortunately it comes with a hefty price tag ($3695) and isn't all that practical to hold because of the weird shape. But it is mighty pretty.
