Earlier this month Christian and I spent a day at the beach (and have the sunburn to prove it, whoops!) After a quick outfit change we decided to try a new place for dinner - Chophouse Grill in Westerly, Rhode Island. Our meal was so delicious and the waitstaff super attentive. We'll definitely be back! Even though we were stuffed, we also grabbed some ice cream at Brickley's! The weather was so beautiful and was a great temperature for walking around Westerly.

And here's a look at my beach outfit, a leopard print bathing suit and Farm Rio dress! This dress is too revealing for me to wear "normally" so I use it as a beach coverup instead! I wore it out once and the photos came out great, I just feel overly exposed in it, ha ha.

In Summer the last thing I want to think about is putting on heavy, clunky jewelry. Aurate carries a ton of unique gold rings, like this crossover ring, that are light as air and perfect for Summer accessorizing. I paired it with my london blue topaz ring and gemstone station necklace, also from Aurate. I think at this point half my jewelry is from them. I love that they're sustainable and really high quality. Most pieces are made to order and shipped directly to consumers so there isn't a heavy markup on pricing. Most of my pieces are gold vermeil but you can also get 14K, 18K and platinum gold pieces.

I wore this to a family bbq at my brother's this weekend. It was a perfect Summer day, not too hot, but not cold. This dress is also perfect for that weather. It's a knit fabric but super breezy. It's not quite sleeveless but the sleeves are not very long, I wouldn't even call it a cap sleeve. I've had it for over 10 years now and I feel like I wear it more and more each year. It's so easy to put on with minimal jewelry, I don't need much, just a few sparkles here and there.

I paired my look with these super fun embellished sandals from my favorite brand - Ancient Greek Sandals. I don't wear these as often as I'd like because they are quite noisy. I don't need people staring at me in the grocery store, hah! But when I know I won't be doing a lot of walking/be around strangers I have to break them out. Bonus is the name if the style is my middle name. I'm always drawn to pieces like that, see: my Chloe Faye bag. Speaking of, I need to wear it again soon. It's been too long!

If you can't tell by this outfit, purple is my favorite color. I decided to match the purple stripes in this Ralph Lauren dress with my purple Prada Cahier, Chanel sunglasses and Ancient Greek Sandals. When I first bought this dress I really loved it but wasn't sure I would wear it often. It's turned into a dress that I fall back on on hot days when I'm not sure what else to wear. It's comfortable, breezy and matches a lot of my wardrobe. I guess that's what happens when you wear mostly the same colors, right?

Since Christian and I didn't get out to take photos this weekend I thought I'd bring back my How I Wore It series. We're headed into Spring so I'm focusing on florals and bright colors.

Hopefully we'll go for a walk this weekend so I can take some outfit pictures for next week. I'm not a huge fan of taking pictures in front of our house (don't want the neighbors to think I'm a weirdo) so not sure I'll want to take them at home. But we'll see how desperate I become!

I hope everyone is staying as safe as possible during all this Coronavirus craziness. Christian has been on high alert since January so luckily we were stocked up on food before the national freakout the past couple weeks.  At this point all anyone can do is stay away from people as much as possible. Luckily I already work from home so I will be trying not to leave the house, except perhaps for walks, for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately Christian still has to go to the office, even though they have the ability to work from home. Hopefully his boss allows that soon.

Wearing my second new purchase of June, these linen pants I bought the same day as my Splendid shorts. I liked these because they aren't as tight as most of my other pants so I can wear them on warmer days. I still have to get used to the pleats/bulkier waist area but overall I like them! Next time I'll wear them with a tighter fitting top, this Ralph Lauren sweater is a little too oversized for them I think. I actually found the sweater on eBay, a first for me since whenever I wear it on the blog I can't find it to share! And one is actually my size so I'm tempted to get it....but I'll stick with my 2 sizes too big one.

I wore this a couple weekends ago to try out Place2Be in Hartford for brunch! I met up with other some fun Connecticut Food Bloggers where we proceeded to taste mimosas (I tried a wildberry one,) share out of a huge bathtub one foodie ordered and eat delicious brunch foods! I had to go for the The Morning Rooster Special, aka Chicken & Waffles! I'm not a huge fan of chicken and waffles with the bone on (I know it's traditional, but so hard to eat) but it was DELICIOUS.  Next time I think I'll try the Cinnamon Apple Pancakes or French Toast!

After brunch Christian picked me up and we headed to Heirloom Market to see what types of seeds they have for our garden NEXT year. We weren't early enough to start from seeds this time. Then we took these photos and got some ice cream at Main Street Creamery, YUMMM.
