Here I go again with weird prints. I think it's funny how every single one of my button down shirts is a print. Apparently I can't wear basic ones. I do have a purple one from an Equipment sample sale but I never wear it because of the fabric (not as breathable as my other Equipment blouse.) I wore this the day before we had a freak snowstorm. It was warm and springlike and then next thing we know it snows most of the day on Friday.

It's starting to get chilly out there! I wore this over the weekend to help my mom do some Christmas shopping for my siblings. She likes taking me along when it involves clothes just for a second opinion. I'm a little jealous of what we picked out for my sister, ha ha!
Back to the cold - this is one of my warmest sweaters, I call it a sweater coat because it's so heavy. It is at least a size too large for me, but I bought it during the Net-a-Porter sale a few years ago and you take what you can get when it's down to the wire and 70% off! I actually quite like the over-sized feel of it, but I'm very into oversized sweaters, so could just be me.
Sweater Coat: Burberry Brit (Net-a-Porter sale), Top c/o Oasis, Jeans: J Brand 'high rise Maria' (Gilt), Boots: Audrey Brooke (DSW)

* This post was made in collaboration with Lyst *
I'm sure many of you have heard of Lyst, but for those of you that haven't here is a little lesson. Lyst allows you to follow your favorite brands (and people) so you can see their latest products and add them to 'lysts' which then allow you to receive sale and stock alerts for those items! You can search by designer or category and even specify if you want specific discounts (ex. 20% to 70% off.)
Today I decided to create a Lyst that contains couple looks styled around Michael Kors bags. For my looks I decided to create some "Winter Warmth" outfits. It's getting very cold out there, but why sacrifice style for warmth, when you can have both!
The first look is styled around this gorgeous Burberry Prorsum coat! Because of it's extreme pattern and textures I decided on a more subdued bag to contrast against the darkness of the rest of the outfit. The fun thing about this jacket is I was able to use non-matching gloves and a hat because they still matched the jacket.
For outfit number two I wanted the bag to do the talking so I chose this gorgeous purple calf-hair bag by Michael Kors. To keep the focus on the bag I created a monochromatic look with all green pieces which work great with the purple/burgundy.
You can create as many lysts as you want and you can even make a "Cover photo" for them to be shown on your Lysts landing page. You can also share your Lysts with your friends on Twitter, Facebook or Tumblr so they can shop your picks! To further add to the fun, you can comment on Lysts with your thoughts!
A couple weeks ago Stylehouse PR sent over the Oasis Spring lookbook! I thought today would be a good day to share them since I'm enjoying slightly warmer weather down in Florida! UPDATE: Not in Florida yet because of the storm. as of right now I'm scheduled to fly out at 5:10, cross your fingers we make it out!!
I've really enjoyed Oasis the past few seasons [see my favorites from Spring 2013 here], they've been making a lot of cute printed sets that I would totally wear if I were brave enough. Some of you might also remember that a couple years ago I featured a really fun skirt from the brand. Find my favorite looks from the Spring collection below and make sure to check out their current offerings now!
*I was NOT compensated for this post. I'm posting the images because I like the collection*

Back in October, Harpers Bazaar shared a bunch of 70s style icons and there was a photo of Farrah Fawcett (below) in wide-leg denim with an oversized blazer and color coordinated button down. Immediately I thought of this vintage blazer I got a couple years ago and had to recreate the look! I even left my shirt unbuttoned an extra button! It looks as though she had one more button un-done, but I'm not that brave.

When I saw the Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2014 collection I knew I would be able to recreate a couple of the looks with a top Oasis sent me last year. The collection had some outfits featuring skyline shirts of London (some of which are available on NET-A-PORTER right now!). I did the first look when I went to New York a couple weeks ago, seen here, and today I'm sharing the second look!
Top c/o Oasis, Leather Jacket: Theyskens' Theory (Nordstrom Rack), Skirt: made by Mom, Sandals: Simply Vera (Kohl's), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports & Mom's
Here are both looks side by side with the inspiration. What do you think?

Last Thursday I was able to go to the grand opening of Marshalls' newest store in New York City, located at 2182 Broadway. The store is three glorious floors. The first is dedicated to handbags, the next floor has accessories and bath/body products and the bottom floor is full of clothes (men, women, children) and shoes! Tons of shoes! You have to check it out if you are ever in the area.
I met up with Megan of TF Diaries and we shopped; both our eyes were drawn to a pair of gorgeous Cole Haan sandals for $49.99 (retail $248.) Sadly they didn't have my size so I'm going to have to scour all the Marshalls in my area to find them! I did walk away with a pair of Rag & Bone Chambray Cuffed Boyfriend Shorts for $49.99 (retail $154) and Mula sandals for $34.99 (retail around $56) thanks to a gift card from Marshalls.
Here's what I wore! Since it was rainy that day I decided to wait to take my outfit photos.
Blazer: Chanel (Roundabout Resale), Top c/o Oasis, Jeans: J Brand c/o Marshalls, Flats: Burberry Prorsum (net-a-porter end of season sale), Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop), Necklace: Geoclassics, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports & Mom's
After the opening I took a walk through Central Park and went to one of Roundabout's New York locations. I tried on a GORGEOUS Jason Wu dress I've wanted since 2011 (see the proof in this post) but left it behind because it was still too pricy. I'll probably regret it later though, it was still new with tags and 75% off retail. Finally I met up with Laura who I've been blog friends with for over 3 years. She was visiting from London so it was perfect timing! We bought macarons at Laduree and then sat down for some coffee and hot chocolate. It's so fun when you finally meet someone you've been talking to for years, isn't it?
* Disclosure: I have received free products or value from Marshalls or The TJX Companies, Inc. in connection with my affiliation with Marshalls Project FAB.
