{throwback outfit} Revisiting April 7 2011

How is it already almost the end of March?! The beginning of the year has flown by so quickly! For this week's throwback I tried to go for a liiiittle bit more of a Springy look even though it was still chilly out. This dress is from the height of my Marc Jacobs obsession. I scored it for $27 on eBay and wore it to DEATH. Now it mostly sits in my closet because it's loosened a bit with age, ha ha

{outfit} Trying to Mix it Up

It's still chilly but I wanted to break my rut of wearing jeans everyday so I opted for these slightly flared velvet pants I've had for years. Hopefully soon I'll be able to start wearing dresses and skirts without freezing. Guess we'll see what Mother Nature has in store for us next week! Colorblock Faux-Fur Vest: Romeo & Juliet Couture, Turtleneck: French Connection (Marshalls), Pants: Glo

{throwback outfit} Revisiting January 2 2012

How was this 8 years ago!!? Insane how time flies by, right? My life has changed quite a bit since I wore this, yet I still own everything in this outfit. Back then I was living in another town with my best friend and commuting to New York City for work 4 days a week. Now (after living with my cousins for 4 years) I'm back with my parents, working from home, with exciting things on the horizon. S

{throwback outfit} Revisiting November 21 2011

I've always enjoyed this color combo. Green and purple make such a great pair but I don't see them put together that often. Forgive the wrinkles on the sweater, didn't have time to iron it, haha! It's finally staying light enough for me to take outfit pictures when I go to my parents for dinner. So much better than having to do multiple outfits over the weekends. {throwback outfit} Revisiting May 14 2010

This will be the oldest of my throwback outfits. I think this was my first actual "outfit post" on the blog after I bought this blazer and jacket. I was super jazzed about my purchases, and the excitement was well founded seeing as they're still in my closet. The jeans and tee, not so much. I was still able to recreate the look pretty closely. I could have been more exact with jeans, but I felt l

{throwback outfit} Revisiting March 5 2013

It was a cold one last week, folks! I definitely needed these three layers last week and I wore leggings under my jeans too. All the pieces in this outfit are the exact ones I wore almost 3 years ago. It feels like just yesterday that I scored this amazing oversized blazer for $10. Gotta love moving sales! Blazer: Vintage PBM Women's (Coco's), Sweater: Ami dans la Rue (Shopbop), Tee: DIY (inspi

{throwback outfit} Revisiting October 25 2010

Here's a REALLY old one for ya! I found these pants again in my parent's attic and since I still had the sweater too it seemed like a no brainer. While the style of these pants is definitely dated, the color is super on trend.  These pants are from high school, so we're talking 2003 - 2005, I can't remember when I first got them. Sweater: American Eagle, Pants: Bongo, Boots: No.704b (DSW),

{holiday} Happy Halloween!!!

Since I don't go out (trick-or-treating or partying,) it is not one of my favorite holidays to celebrate, but I LOVE the time leading up to Halloween. All through October I watch my favorite Halloween themed movies over and over and over. Who doesn't love Casper, Hocus Pocus, Teen Witch, Halloweentown and all the other fun movies we watched as kids? (I don't do scary movies) Reusing some photos

{outfit} Mixed Print Tory Burch Sweater

Say hello to one of my birthday presents: a Tory Burch "Brady" cardigan! A couple weekends ago my mom took my sister and I out birthday shopping. We went to Marshalls (two locations) and TJ Maxx! This was one of our TJ Maxx finds, they had a few other Tory Burch pieces but this one was calling my name. I always love Tory's clothes but this is the first piece I've ever owned! FINALLY! Sadly her re

{outfit} RewardStyle NYFW Party

This past Saturday I headed to the RewardStyle NYFW party with Lydia! Since everyone would be dressed to the nines, I thought it was a great opportunity to wear my new $136 Jason Wu dress (get the story on how I got it "cheap" here)! The day was SUPER hot so we were pretty much melting, but the party was a lot of fun! I got to see a bunch of my blogger friends (and even made some new ones - hey L
