Well, I finally got new jean shorts like I've been talking about since last year, ha ha! I got a 40% off coupon for Kohl's so I decided to take a look. I ordered two pairs figuring I would return one but they ended up being such different colors that I kept both for different occasions.

My brother's puppy decided to hop in at the end of my outfit photos. Isn't he the cutest?! My siblings and I do a Secret Santa every year and if I had him I would totally want to get one of Mr&MrsPaw's hilarious renaissance pet portraits so we could always remember how adorable he was as a puppy. He's growing bigger every week so I'm sure he'll be HUGE soon. I'll miss being able to have him sit on my lap for pets.

I could even do one for my sister's dog, Shiba Inu's are pretty classy (especially the black and tan colors like Teddy) so it would be super funny to see him in a renaissance pet portrait. I've already done a Cuddle Clone of Layla, but maybe she could use a portrait too! And don't worry, they do cats as well, which would be a funny gift for Christian's Mom.

It's always so hard for me to take outfit photos in Winter, yet they are usually some of my favorite outfits. I always feel bad making Christian stand out in the cold taking photos so sometimes wee don't take pictures. As was the case last weekend when we went to visit my sister. I wore two cute outfits, but no photos. Maybe I'll rewear them so we can get some pictures.

I wore this a couple weekends ago to visit my Grandparents for a bit. We hadn't been over in a while, for obvious reasons, but Grandma does get sad when she doesn't see us so we still try to go every few weeks. I don't think Grandpa minds seeing us either, ha ha.

Thanksgiving look number two! Although, technically, this was the first one I wore. This was my outfit on actual Thanksgiving day at my parents. We had a small gathering with just the immediate family. Then on Saturday we went to my Aunt's for a slightly larger celebration.

I was surprised to realize I haven't worn this Saint Laurent blouse and burgundy velvet skit together before. Both of these have been holiday staples over the years so it was only natural to finally pair them. Also broke out one of my favorite pair of shoes for the first time in quite a while.

Blouse: Saint Laurent silk patchwork blouse (eBay)

Peep-Toe Boots*: Alexander Wang suede Freja boot in brick red (The Outnet

Skirt: LC Lauren Conrad Velvet Pleated Skirt c/o Kohl's

Purse: Wink & Winn (giveaway, no longer in business)

Necklace: Olive Branch Pearl Stilvi Necklace, bought in Santorini

*Note: There was a version of these boots made for an H&M collaboration a few years after I bought mine so make sure you're getting actual high end ones if you want to recreate this look in the same quality. Or if you want a budget version, go for the H&M pair, just make sure you don't overpay for those! (I noticed one site had the H&M boots listed for almost $400)

This is my 7th Christmas season with this sweater and my love for it has not lessened one bit. I still wear it multiple times through the holiday season (and after too) and don't see myself stopping any time soon.

I originally posted it as a "Dream" outfit in 2011 and bought it in The Outnet's clearance sale in 2013 for $229 (regular $1075, yowza!) Even if I only wore it twice a year, that still brings the cost per wear down to about $16, pretty good! But I'm sure I've worn it more than 14 times over these past 7 years.

It's hard to style in different ways so I don't post it on the blog too often, but for this look I wore it with some studded leggings and over the knee boots. Hidden under my boots are some red and green striped socks that have kitties with Christmas lights on them. The perfect cozy weekend look even if it was a blustery day.

These photos are obviously from before Halloween as I'm at the pumpkin patch, but I feel like pumpkins and gourds are still great decor all the way up through Thanksgiving. I still have all 12 (they were 12 for $20, haha) gourds we bought on this trip and my pumpkin since we didn't have time to carve it.

While I'm all for decorating for Christmas as early as you want I still like to keep it more Fall themed until closer to Thanksgiving (I usually start decorating Thanksgiving night, haha.) This year I'm decorating before - probably this week - since we only have three and a half weeks after Thanksgiving to get all our Christmas cheer out!

On to the outfit, I was originally going to go sans vest, but in the end I knew it would be a bit cold at the pumpkin patch so I threw on one of my faux fur vests to keep the chill off.
