I got this really comfy Everlane sweater for Christmas and decided to wear it to Grandma's for our Christmas day celebrations. I dressed it up a bit with these burgundy velvet pants so the outfit felt a bit more holiday.  Perfect for a day of relaxing and eating tons of tasty food.

Sweater: Everlane "The Wool-Cashmere Oversized Cable Turtleneck" in Surplus (Christmas gift), Pants: Elie Tahari 'Shea Velvet Pants' (Shopbop), Leopard Pumps: Jimmy Choo (Roundabout)

After wearing my white jeans I decided to challenge myself to wear more of my white pieces. Up next, this super fun sequin leopard tee from French Connection. If it were any other color than white it would be worn ALL.THE.TIME. I decided to double up on the leopard with my Jimmy Choo pumps. I even finished it off with a red lip! I guess wearing the white made me feel like I needed a punch of color.

Sequin Leopard Tee: French Connection, Jeans: American Eagle, Leopard Pumps: Jimmy Choo (Roundabout)

The first time wearing new pieces is always so fun. You feel all shiny and fresh looking at yourself. This was the debut of both this sweater and necklace from Christmas. They go quite well together, don't you think? I'm still getting used to curling my hair, but my curling wand (reviewed here) is definitely a lot easier than ones I tried in the past. My hair looked better the day after this because the curls were a little looser.

Sweater: Madewell, Jeans: FRAME 'Le Skinny de Jeanne Jeans' (Shopbop), Leopard Pumps: Jimmy Choo (Roundabout Resale), Necklace: Madewell

A few years ago (well, more than a few...) I would never be caught dead in a turtleneck. Not because I don't like how they look, but because I used to feel like they were choking me. But over the past couple years I've been adding more and more to my closet, this one being from a couple Christmases ago. They're cozy and keep me nice and covered up top. Since this was, yet another, basic outfit I decided to go with some "crazier" accessories!

Sweater: French Connection (TJ Maxx), Jeans: Current/Elliott, Pumps: Jimmy Choo 'Blend' (Roundabout Resale), Necklace: Grandma's, Clutch c/o Mulungi Collection

This is the companion outfit to the brunch outfit I shared last week. Two weekends ago I headed up to NYC for a girls' night with one of my friends and a bunch of her other friends. She wanted to put together a group that had never met before (apart from her) which was really fun. I got to know some great new friends and came out of my shell a bit.

We started the night by having a late dinner at Antibes Bistro followed by some drinks at The Back Room, one of only two speakeasies in New York City that operated during Prohibition and is still in existence today! Most of you know that I don't drink much (because I can't find anything I like!) but I did try Antibe's namesake cocktail, sadly it was too bubbly for me since there was champagne in it.

I didn't take any photos of my outfit that night so I put the outfit back on just for you guys! ;)

Top: Marshalls, Skirt: T by Alexander Wang (Net-a-Porter), Pumps: Jimmy Choo (Roundabout Resale), Necklace: House of Harlow (South Moon Under)

Looks like we're starting this week off with a lot of black! Here's a Summer evening outfit for those cooler nights where it's still warm. We haven't had many super high temperature days in Connecticut yet, but weathermen (and women) are predicting that will change soon. Personally I'm enjoying these days in the high 70s mid 80s. I'll get my fill of hot temperatures next week in Florida (yes, I'm going again...)

This top is one of my new favorites for Summer. I bought it a few weeks ago during one of Madewell's extra 40% off sale sales! It has "overlapping side vents" which give a nice breeze in the warm weather and show off just enough skin. I'll definitely be wearing this in Florida. I was tempted to order the light blue one last weekend but they sold out of my size.

P.S. Optional soundtrack for today's post: Summer Nights from Grease.

Top: Madewell, Jeans: FRAME 'Le Skinny de Jeanne' (Shopbop), Shoes: Jimmy Choo (Roundabout Resale), Bag: Chanel (Madison Avenue Couture), Sunglasses: Chanel, Necklace: bought in Santorini

As has been the norm the past few times I've actually had somewhere to go (other than my parent's for dinner) the weather did not want to cooperate. This is what I wore to go to New Beauty Magazine's 10th Anniversary party in New York last Thursday. Disregarding the misting/rain the whole time I was walking to and from the event it was fun! I got my "perfect shade" of Paula Dorf lipstick picked out for me ("Attitude") and got my hair braided with help from John Barrett Salon.

The event was three floors of experiential beauty, so everyone was just walking around trying out all the different products! I really liked the Per-fekt Brow Perfection Gel, will have to buy some when my shopping ban is over! At the end of the event I got an amazing goodie bag filled with products to try! Going to be fun going through all of them! Already gave some stuff to my mom and sister since I can't possibly use it all on my own.

P.S. This weather was making me think of this part in The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh, poor Rabbit! Ha ha.

Jacket: Theyskens' Theory (Nordstrom Rack), Top: Daniel Rainn (Piperlime), Jeans: J Brand 'Maria High Rise Skinny' in Supreme (Gilt), Necklace: House of Harlow c/o South Moon Under,  Rings: old, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Lumo 'Violet, Lumo 'Rope', Heels: Jimmy Choo (Roundabout Resale)

Can you believe February is already over?! I made it through the Fall/Winter portion of the challenge! From now on though, I think I'm just going to keep track of my purchases and try to stick to basics rather than doing the whole 6 month season by season thing. Because sometimes you need to buy Spring items in December...where does that go in the challenge? Who knows! But I'm glad I successfully completed the challenge for 1 year in the original form. Starting next month, my posts will have "French" removed from the title, ha ha.

I went to Roundabout's Winter Blowout sale (Westport location) on Valentine's Day and walked out with 3 great pieces! I spent $220 and the retail price of the items was at least $2200.  I also wanted a gorgeous Burberry Prorsum dress and 3.1 Phillip Lim dress but resisted them because I haven't really been wearing dresses lately. Kind of regretting the Burberry one... And my only other purchase this month was a $6 sweater from Target, quite the difference from the other purchases but I love it just the same! (Was in the wash when I was taking these photos, oops!)

But WAIT! There's more! (I hope you all read that like they say it in the infomericals) This past Saturday I got an email from Roundabout saying they were having an even bigger blowout on their Winter pieces for a limited time! So I texted Lydia and we met up to shop! They still had the Burberry dress, so I HAD to buy it, it was fate! I also bought a different Phillip Lim dress and a Balenciaga sweater dress that was brand new with tags! The Phillip Lim dress is missing from photos because my mom is repairing a small hole in it.
