Technically I wore this the day after Valentine's Day, but we were celebrating so I wore my trusty red Everlane sweater and brand new crimson red Loewe mini puzzle bag! It's such a fun burst of color and I've been enjoying wearing it with everything. That's one of my favorite parts of having something new, wearing the heck out of it for weeks!

This is the original puzzle bag and not the new "edge" version. I definitely prefer this 2018 version, it feels so much cooler. The Edge doesn't look as much like a puzzle because the pieces are sewn on top of one another. I really love the spacing in between the "pieces" on this version, feels more luxurious, detailed and more handcrafted versus just another mass produced bag. I found this post that explains the differences between them.

I've also been wearing this coat non-stop, probably need to rotate in some of my older ones! I would have worn my red Burberry coat this day but I already had a lot of red going on so I skipped it. After looking at the pictures I realized I should have worn my faux fur leopard coat! Oh well.

For our Valentine's celebration we headed up to Old Mistick Village for lunch and a walk around before heading back home just before the weekend snow storm began. We finally ate at Amalfi which has been on my list for over a year now. It was delicious! We got 2 appetizers and then each got one of their house-made pastas. I'm not usually a pasta person at restaurants but when they're handmade in-house it's hard to resist! Makes me feel like I'm back in Italy.

Here's a look at our day and what we had to eat:

For the past few years Christian and I have been heading up to Vermont for my birthday weekend so we can enjoy some time away and pretty Autumn leaves! This year's trip had some issues thanks to crowds and rain but we still enjoyed ourselves.

These photos were taken at Sugarbush Farm when downtown Woodstock was swarming with people. Normally we arrive early in the morning to beat the crowds but this year we drove up Saturday morning instead of Friday night and stopped at a cute town Apple Festival so we didn't get to Woodstock until 12-ish. We skipped walking around there this year since it was so crowded.

My mom was getting rid of this cardigan and I decided to save it from the donation pile. It's cute but likes to leave little fuzzies everywhere, ha ha!

Sweater: from Mom

Dress: Edun (ThredUp)

Belt: Kenneth Cole Reaction (Marshalls)

Boots: Eighteen 68 'Megan' (Gilt Groupe)

Sunglasses: Gucci Aviators (bought in Rome)

This orange sweater was another perfect piece for my Autumnal trip to Vermont. The trees were mostly yellow, but you can see some peeks of orange that match the sweater. My new Remy Dooney & Bourke bag was the perfect finishing touch. I brought it along since I was taking a baking class at King Arthur Baking School and thought it would be a fun nod.

This blazer remains one of my favorite pieces of clothing and I've owned it since 2006. Technically this one is newer because I had to buy the next size up in 2013. I still have the original one because I can't bear to part with it! I bought the first one for $80 and the second was only $20! So still only $100 for 2 Marc Jacobs blazers that retailed way above that.

Not the biggest fan of how these photos turned out. My jeans are a little bunchy by my boots and I should have tucked in my shirt....oh well. I still like the outfit overall! Been wanting to break out my Marc Jacobs polka dot blazer for a few weeks and finally did it even though we had nothing special planned for the day. We did our taxes, went to the park for photos and then headed to Home Depot to buy seeds before going to my parents for dinner.

P.S. Isn't it cook how these cut down bushes look like fire?!

Blazer: Marc by Marc Jacobs polka dot velvet jacket (eBay), V-Neck Tee: Everlane, Jeans: Current/Elliott (The Outnet), Boots: Eighteen 68 'Megan' (Gilt, shop knee-high boots), Leather Bag: Bought in Italy, Olive Branch Pearl Necklace: bought in Santorini (shop delicate necklaces)

These photos are obviously from before Halloween as I'm at the pumpkin patch, but I feel like pumpkins and gourds are still great decor all the way up through Thanksgiving. I still have all 12 (they were 12 for $20, haha) gourds we bought on this trip and my pumpkin since we didn't have time to carve it.

While I'm all for decorating for Christmas as early as you want I still like to keep it more Fall themed until closer to Thanksgiving (I usually start decorating Thanksgiving night, haha.) This year I'm decorating before - probably this week - since we only have three and a half weeks after Thanksgiving to get all our Christmas cheer out!

On to the outfit, I was originally going to go sans vest, but in the end I knew it would be a bit cold at the pumpkin patch so I threw on one of my faux fur vests to keep the chill off.

Vest: Simply Vera Vera Wang faux fur shawl vest c/o Kohl's, Double V-Neck Cashmere Sweater: Calypso St. Barth 'Gylden' (shop more v neck sweaters), Jeans: J Brand 'Mid Rise Photo Ready Super Skinny Jean' (shop more J Brand jeans), Boots: Eighteen 68 'Megan' (Gilt Groupe), Leather Bag: Bought in Italy

Decided to re-wear this outfit on a warmer day earlier this week. Can you believe I'm just wearing a tee under my leather jacket? Admittedly it was a little chilly but not horrible. This leather jacket remains one of my favorite steals. I think I need to recondition it though, it's getting a little scaly! I actually found one available on eBay too! Go snatch it up, you won't be sorry!

I also decided to break out my old ring collection. It felt a little strange to wear all my rings again after just wearing my engagement ring (and then wedding band) for months. I'll definitely start bringing some back, but maybe not all of them at once like this. Not that it's bad, but I should probably be a bit more subtle now that I'm a married woman ;)

Jacket: Theyskens' Theory (Nordstrom Rack), Tee: Cullen (Rue La La), Skirt: T by Alexander Wang ruched skirt (NET-A-PORTER), Tights c/o Wolford, Boots: Eighteen68 'Megan' (Gilt), Watch: Skagen, Sunglasses: Michael Kors (Marshalls), Bag: Dark Purple Chloé Faye (eBay)
