Over Memorial Day we had the first weekend guests in our new home! On Saturday we went to lunch by the "beach" (aka a rocky/shelly beach near our house) and took a stroll by the water. I went with a nautical themed look for the occasion.

Enjoy lots of bag and back of sweater pictures because we were experimenting and I liked too many of them. I also realized the majority of this outfit is from the Clinton Crossing outlets. I got each one a different year at their Spring fashion event, funny how that works out and they're all still in style.

Last week I was in Rhode Island for a couple days and headed to Newport for an afternoon. It was a whopping 80 degrees - IN OCTOBER - so I was able to wear my thin cashmere sweater one last time before it goes away until next Summer.

Venice is beautiful. I know you can see in photos how picturesque it is, but that is nothing in comparison to seeing it with your own eyes. I wish we had some more time here, but the 6 hours we had were enough to get the feel, walk around the non-touristy areas and go to some of the usual tourist spots.

Since I was working most of the day Thursday I wasn't able to take outfit pictures until later in the day when it was dark, so I apologize for the horrible quality! These were taken at Universal Studios after we ran in for a quick ride at Gringotts. After that we went to one of my favorite restaurants, Antojitos, followed by dessert at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium where I had AMAZING flourless chocolate cake.

It's all about the red, white and blue! Wearing, once again, my favorite summer sweater! It's so light that I can wear it even when its 80 degrees. If only they had made this in different colors, I may have gotten more! Totally worth it.

On Wednesday we decided to explore Downtown Wilmington. It's a really fun area and luckily we had perfect weather for walking outside! I actually had to unbutton some of the back buttons on my sweater to get a breeze. We walked along the water and then had lunch at Elijah's where I had DELICIOUS BBQ Shrimp, so good! After that we meandered around the shops where I, miraculously, didn't make any purchases! I did get some fudge at Kilwin's, but my mom paid for it - score!

When we go to Rhode Island we stay at a house that's right across from Scarborough Beach so each night we go for an evening walk on the beach.
