I wore this to help Christian with a Christmas photoshoot for my brother and sister-in-law. We went to our favorite park and I roped Christian into taking some outfit photos for me too. We took some at the park and also the local historical society. He had his camera and was in photo mode, so why not?
It was a very chilly day but this Burberry sweater coat is always so comfy and warm! I just needed to block the wind from my face a bit. It's been a while since it appeared on the blog but it still gets plenty of wear in the Winter.

I took these photos at the beginning of September but then some life stuff happened and I didn't feel right/up to posting. So here they are now. I wore this to run some errands with Christian and then we went on a drive with my parents and brother before having a late lunch at Riley's in Lordship.
This was a day that was cool enough for me to wear this airy cashmere sweater paired with shorts. I often find it hard to wear this sweater because it is VERY open thanks to the deep Vs, so I can't really wear it in winter unless it's layered.

I wore this over the weekend to go out to Mecha for ramen! We decided to sit outside and the breeze was so perfect. I love the end of Summer where it's starting to get cool but we still get long evenings. I haven't worn this camisole nearly as much as I wanted this year, might have to see if I can transition it into Fall as well! I have been horrible at taking outfit photos the last few months, need to get back into the habit of bugging Christian to take them!

Warmth is very important in the Winter and we're in the thick of it now. I've been wanting to get additional padding for my favorite winter boots for a few years now and kept putting it off. I finally found my solution in these fuzzy liner socks from Flat Socks! They are like insoles for your shoes but in sock material and they're
washer/dryer safe, even these fur ones. This keeps the inside of your shoes clean. To learn more about how to use these liner socks check out my post on them from last year! Can you tell I'm wearing socks in this Instagram post? Well, I am!
While these are meant to replace socks I've been using them more as extra warmth for this particular pair of boots and I still wear socks with them. The extra padding makes my feet super cozy and I love how soft they are. I even have a pair of arch support insoles under the liner socks to make them even more comfortable for long Winter walks or while shoveling snow.

In Summer the last thing I want to think about is putting on heavy, clunky jewelry. Aurate carries a ton of unique gold rings, like this crossover ring, that are light as air and perfect for Summer accessorizing. I paired it with my london blue topaz ring and gemstone station necklace, also from Aurate. I think at this point half my jewelry is from them. I love that they're sustainable and really high quality. Most pieces are made to order and shipped directly to consumers so there isn't a heavy markup on pricing. Most of my pieces are gold vermeil but you can also get 14K, 18K and platinum gold pieces.
I wore this to a family bbq at my brother's this weekend. It was a perfect Summer day, not too hot, but not cold. This dress is also perfect for that weather. It's a knit fabric but super breezy. It's not quite sleeveless but the sleeves are not very long, I wouldn't even call it a cap sleeve. I've had it for over 10 years now and I feel like I wear it more and more each year. It's so easy to put on with minimal jewelry, I don't need much, just a few sparkles here and there.
I paired my look with these super fun embellished sandals from my favorite brand - Ancient Greek Sandals. I don't wear these as often as I'd like because they are quite noisy. I don't need people staring at me in the grocery store, hah! But when I know I won't be doing a lot of walking/be around strangers I have to break them out. Bonus is the name if the style is my middle name. I'm always drawn to pieces like that, see: my Chloe Faye bag. Speaking of, I need to wear it again soon. It's been too long!

I've had these shorts for over 10 years and I don't think I've ever paired them with this tee (that I've had for seven.) Surprising considering how perfectly the purple matches one of the flowers. Speaking of older pieces, this bag has been around for 10 years too. It's traveled all over with me because it was the perfect small bag for carrying my camera while sightseeing. It doesn't get used too much these days, because it's showing it's age, but I will never get rid of it.

First, a backstory: Back in 2011 I did a "Dream Outfit" for what I'd wear to the Christmas Tree Farm for our Christmas Tree hunt. It featured a really fun Stella McCartney polar bear sweater, red coat, suede leggings and boots. Being a dream outfit, I never imagined I would own it. However, in 2013 I was able to buy the Stella McCartney sweater from The Outnet for $229 (vs $1145) in their Summer sale and it has been a holiday season staple ever since. I love that it will never really go out of style because it's a statement piece.
Fast forward to this past weekend and visiting Marijane Boutique in Guilford. Lydia works there so I've been meaning to visit for over a year - whoops! Christian and I decided to visit a little farm store in Guilford so I figured it would be smart to kill two birds with one stone and stop by after. The store is on a super cute street on the green and is filled with all types of treasures. As I was going through the coat rack I stumbled upon a holy grail - a Burberry wool coat! It was red and very similar to the coat I used in the dream outfit. I actually think I had this coat on my wish list years ago but never bought it because of the price tag. Based on my research it was either $795 or $995 retail, I snagged it for $230 at Marijane Boutique and it is in perfect condition!
Of course the first thing I paired my new bright red Burberry toggle coat with was the Stella McCartney polar bear sweater! Dreams really do come true, especially for those who wait. 11 years later and I was finally able to pull it off! I don't have a red hat yet, but maybe I'll find one. I decided to break out my beloved Chanel for the occasion. Why not feel super fancy for the day, right?! It's crazy to think that this bag has at least doubled in value since 2012 - yikes!
