Some days you just want to walk around in a blanket. On this particular day I did the next best thing and wore my cashmere cape. Super cozy, especially when layered over a tshirt and turtleneck sweater for added warmth!

After a morning of shopping I cuddled up in a nice big chair and read for a while. I've been trying to get back into reading and started off by finishing the 4th book in Christopher Paolini's Inheritance Cycle.  The final book, titled Inheritance, came out in November 2011 and I got it the day it came out. I made it halfway though and kind of stopped reading (the books are like Lord of the Rings - super detailed!)  This outfit is actually a couple weeks old, so I have since finished the book, and boy does it feel good being done. I started the series in 2006 when they made a movie out of the first book: Eragon.

Here is the second edition of Favorite Things, this time it is a non-fashion item!  When I was little my sister got a book called Baba Yaga and Vasilisa the Brave. It quickly became one of our favorite books and we would read it together every.single.night!  It took us hours, which I find really funny now since its not that long. One of the main reasons I love this book now is the illustrations by Kinuko Y. Craft, they are simply amazing!

It is basically a Russian version of Cinderella but with one major difference, there is an evil witch woman in addition to the evil stepmother.  I won't spoil anything by telling you the full story, but here areis a description from the publisher's website:

Sweet, lovely Vasilisa lives with her jealous stepmother and stepsisters on the edge of a dark forest inhabited by the evil witch Baba Yaga. One night the stepmother sends Vasilisa to visit Baba Yaga, an errand from which the gentle girl has little chance of returning alive.

Decided I should do some posts on what the fashionistas in your life could use for Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate!  Today I'm posting some fashionable books, I haven't read all of them but I've read good things about them!  You can click the image of the book to see more information and to buy them (I was going to post about each of them, but I didn't know what to say about some of them without saying the same stuff over and over)!  What books would you recommend?
