Every year since I was little we would get our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. Last year my parents decided it was getting too crowded (it was) and opted to splurge on a Balsam Hill tree and stop going to the farm to get our tree every year. Even though the farm has gotten a LOT more crowded the past few years I just couldn't give up on the tradition that easily. Even though we have our own fake tree (hopefully a nicer one eventually) Christian and I, along with my brother, sister and their dogs went to Jones Family Farm to walk around in the trees and check out their Christmas shop.
P.S. I finally found this leopard coat on eBay! Snap it up before I buy it as a backup to this one (even though my current one is a size Small!) ;)

That's such a great tradition - and such an insanely great coat. Seriously, how do I not own a faux fur leopard print coat by this point in my life?

Love that you still go to take in the scenery--that's the best part! Along with this amazing coat, of course.

Yes crowds can be off putting but there is something to be said for tradition. And love the leopard print coat!

Such a cosy coat - it's great you managed to find the same one on ebay! :) We don't have Christmas tree farms here in Brisbane but I'd take the chance to go even if we didn't get a tree there, just for the atmosphere! :)
ReplyDeleteHope that you are having a great weekend :) We have been doing a lot of fun Christmas things and have another Christmas party today :)

Cutting your own tree has become harder and harder every year, the tree farms are usually only open on weekends and the cost has gotten extreme. So now we go for the photos and buy the tree from a lot... so sad.
