{outfit} Five Years in the Making

Welcome my Proenza Schouler tweed colorblock shorts to the blog!!! If you saw my monthly wardrobe update you will have heard this story already, but for those that haven't: I posted these shorts on the blog back in June 2011 as one of my favorite looks from the 2012 Resort show! A couple of weekends ago I went to Roundabout's end of season sale with Lydia and on a second look through the store I spotted these shorts peeking out and recognized them immediately.

I didn't think they were going to fit but tried them on and they fit like a glove! At "only" $57 I had to take them home. That may seem like a lot for shorts, BUT they are tweed, trimmed in leather and made in the USA. Plus, they retailed for $1600, insanity!

  1. they really are so cute, and I just love it when you find something you've been lusting after for a long time. Maybe next sale you'll find the coordinating crop top, haha.

  3. Those shorts were such a great find.... they were meant to be. Regardless of time when things are meant to be they find a way... even when it comes to shorts :)
