Who doesn't love a good blazer or curling up with a good book? This blazer wraps both into one. I don't wear it much since it's such a statement piece but it's one of my favorite blazers. I wish I wasn't still wearing blazers at this point in the year, but what can you do? Sometimes Winter just wants to stick around.
For this outfit I was inspired by Farfetch's brand new Style Guide. They have an article on why velvet should be your go-to fabric and I completely agree! It's one of my favorites to wear because it's luxurious, fun and soft! It can be worn in any season now thanks to all the different styles that are offered. Velvet now comes in slip dresses, blazers, pants and more!
It's also my blog's 7th anniversary today...how crazy is that?!! In the beginning I never planned on sharing my outfits, and now look at me! 4 times a week!
Blazer: Paul Smith (Roundabout), Tee: Everlane, Jeans: J Brand (Gilt), Boots: 3.1 Phillip Lim 'Peggy' (Barneys Warehouse), Necklace: BubuRuby

I absolutely adore that piece - it really does make a statement. I mean how can you go wrong when you combine books and blazers?

Happy Blogaversary! I think the book print is really unique, and I love that it isn't really overt, just a subtle nod to a wonderful collection.
