Last weekend I visited one of my best friends in DC to see the sights and eat lots of food. Mostly to get the chicken & waffles at Founding Farmers; more on that tomorrow. On my first day (Saturday) I got a tour of some of the museums and visited the United States Capital building and Washington Monument. This was one of the colder days of the trip but it warmed up by the last two days!
This was my first time visiting DC so it was great to have a tour guide who knows where they're going. Got to see all the important stuff and also not look like a complete tourist. Unfortunately the building was getting a bit of a face-lift but it still made a good background for outfit photos!
Shearling Jacket: thrifted, Cashmere Turtleneck: Vince (Marshalls), Jeans: Frame 'Le Skinny de Jeanne' (Shopbop), Flats: Chanel (eBay), Bag: Emm Kuo (Roundabout Resale)

Sounds like a fun trip! I live so close to DC and have been countless times, but it's been years since I've actually toured the monuments and museums. I'm way overdue!

I love DC! I lived there for a few months while I was doing research and have been back a few times since and it's just such a great place - I'm glad you had fun!

I always hate it when the sites are under construction! Last time i was in DC there was no water in the reflecting pool!
