In honor of Throwback Thursday I decided to go back into my "archives" (which is only 6 years) and recreate the exact outfit I wore on this day in 2010. Oddly enough I still had the dress and sweater, but not the shoes - thank goodness! This was not the greatest outfit, but I did my best to spice it up a bit! I think I'll go into my archives more often and choose better looks to re-wear on Thursdays. But, for the first one I figured we'd go straight and make it truly '5 years ago' no matter how embarrassing. I think I'll make the rule that at least half the outfit has to remain the same, unless I don't have one of the pieces.
And in keeping with old tradition, these photos are blurry. I stupidly didn't realize until I put the pictures on my computer 2 days later and was too lazy to re-shoot. But it brings back the nostalgia of my old blurry photos. Stupid camera focusing on the pretty leaves instead of my clothes! ;)
Dress:
ASOS, Sweater:
Kohl's, Boots:
Audrey Brooke (
DSW), Necklace:
Indulgems (
Gilt)
And for full effect, the original. Gosh, how horrible is that?! Good thing my photography has mostly improved.

Oh wow what a great idea to do. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThis adorable outfit is just as cute now as it was then!!
Oh this is such a fun idea for a series! I look forward to following along with it! :) It's a great way to use all your archives too!
ReplyDeleteYour dress is pretty, glad you kept it all these years :) I think my wardrobe has changed so much I'm not sure I'd have enough left to recreate such an old outfit, it's a shame :(
Away From The Blue Blog
I'm so freaking excited about this series!

I definitely do not like looking back at my super early photos where they were taken in my bedroom and my poses are super awkward, but I do like your idea to go back and reinvent! I think the OTK boots where to perfect choice.
ReplyDeleteChic on the Cheap
Oh 6 years just like me !
ReplyDeleteI really like the dress and I think that it looked good then and now.
