{outfit} The Emergency Purchase

I bought these boots when I was in New York City a couple weekends ago. I forgot to bring my black boots that went with everything I had brought with me so while my friends were at Comic Con I headed to DSW and found these babies and used a $20 off coupon, my $5 birthday coupon AND the money my mom gave me for my birthday. A purchase made during an emergency, but one I'm sure will get a lot of wear! I only wish they went a liiiittle bit higher, but I can always find another pair that is thigh high.

This is the "classy" version of this outfit. If I want to be a little more risque I can pull up my skirt a bit more. But my dad was taking these pictures so that would have been a bit awkward, don't you think?

Tank: Vince c/o Marshalls, Blazer: Marc by Marc Jacobs (eBay), Skirt: T by Alexander Wang (Net-a-Porter), Boots: Audrey Brooke (DSW)

  1. I love the zipper detail on the back - an emergency purchase but a very good one!

  5. These were the boots you were talking about, I think on my last post? I like these. The height looks good and hits right where it should, but I can see that when you walk it may get annoying hitting your knee. I swear the boots we want are just out of our price range.. but as you said, you could always buy another pair ;)

  7. Plus you've been on the hunt for some black over the knee boots, and I love the little exposed zipper in the back.

  9. I like the zipper detail in the back! I think they were a very practical investment, you'll certainly get a lot of wear out of them over the cooler months! :)
