{outfit} The Perfect Day

I wore this on a perfect end of August day spent with Lydia and Christine. We went to our favorite restaurant, The Chowder Pot, followed by some shopping. I behaved and bought nothing! (Well, technically I bought this Jason Wu for Target dress for my cousin for $5, but that doesn't count.) The weather was so perfect, not too hot, not chilly. Just perfection.

Everything in this outfit, apart from the sunglasses, is at least 2 years old. Gotta love pieces that stick around! This dress will definitely be in my closet until it withers away to nothing (or I grow out of it...)

Dress: Jones New York (Lord & Taylor), Sandals: Seychelles (DSW), Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Net-a-Porter), Sunglasses: Chanel (bought in Europe), Necklace: gifted

  5. Yes, I too love items of clothing that have been in the wardrobe for ages that become like old, favourite friends. Your dress is definitely one of those! Lovely.

  6. I love pieces like that too. For a while I was finding a lot of the stuff I was buying was dating far too quickly for my liking. I've stepped up my game again since lol. I hate being so wasteful like that and there really is such a satisfaction that comes when pieces are able to be worn again and again over time

  10. We did have a lovely day, and we were so good with our not shopping. Not that we wont make up for it eventually. Long sleeve dresses are always so underrated. They are the best.

  11. Girl you're looking fabulous! I love the dress and the gold accessories.

I'm assuming The Chowder Pot carries all kinds of clam chowder?

    1. Haha, they actually only have 2 kinds of chowder I think...it's just a regular seafood place. But what I REALLY love is their honey butter bread...YUM YUM!
