A lot of my outfits start with shoes. I pick out a pair of shoes that I think need some more love and plan an outfit around it. With these shoes I decided to pair them with burnt orange for an interesting color combo! Topped off with an oversized cardigan, as is my habit and you have a super comfortable look! The dress and cardigan combo may have worked better with heels since I'm on the shorter side, but I still like the way this came out.

I plan outfits around my favourite shoes too! This is a great winter look.
ReplyDeleteI like the colours and the subtle print.
ReplyDeleteIn my case, shoes are usually the last to jump in when putting together an outfit.
I loooove oversized cardigans. They are so comfy!
ReplyDeleteHow interesting! I've never really thought about it, but most of my outfits start from the top and work their way down - shoes and accessories are what I think of last almost all of time. But thinking of shoes first obviously works for you because the results of this outfit are so fun - you look comfortable and casual but totally put together at the same time.

You have so many great printed shoes! I tend to struggle with printed footwear, except for leopard. leopard goes with everything :)

Interesting approach - shoes are always the last on my list with an outfit, so I can sometimes be found wearing two different ones, hobbling off to find a full length mirror to decide which style looks best, or standing, flamingo-like on one foot to assess which of two choices suits!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I've never been able to pick an entire outfit starting with the shoes. I always start with the top and go from there.
