Do you ever have outfits that you aren't sure they look good? Well this is that kind of outfit. I like the top part (minus the wrong color blue tee, I don't have a navy or orange!) but the tights and boots are throwing it off for me. But, as it's Winter, I had to cover my legs somehow and black/brown tights wouldn't have worked and I have misplaced my navy ones! Darn! But, here I am, sharing the outfit. At least I made good on wearing these boots more often!
The neighbors were outside when I was going to take my photos so I decided to just take them inside. Like my Sword in the Stone poster? One of my favorite Disney movies!
Tee: Everlane, Sweater: Tory Burch (TJ Maxx), Skirt: Old Navy, Boots: Chloe (Roundabout Resale)
They are cool tights if not totally the right shade for this - buy hey, you gotta cover up somehow, right?

After all my experimentation with colored tights, these days I find myself reaching for black, regardless of whatever else I'm wearing.
ReplyDeleteI think the orange is fun, and if you feel comfortable, go for it. I'm still seeing colored tights pop up all over.
Chic on the Cheap
They work for me !
ReplyDeleteI have a hard time wearing coloured tights but I think it helps that the shade is an extension of the one in the skirt, so it transitions easily on the eyes.
Cute orange tights, and it matches your shoes ;)

You know, I honestly like the outfit. It's very vintage-esque. The only thing I would've changed is probably the under shirt. I would've gone with a cream color.
ReplyDeleteI see what you are saying. I do like the burnt orange color, I think it would really work if your undershirt was white, the skirt was navy and the boots were a darker shade than the tights. I'm also thinking this probably looked better in person without the flash making it all brighter than it actually is. Either way, your cuteness shines through!
