This outfit is the definition of high-low dressing. The top half of my outfit was thrifted - I paid under $5 for both pieces together. The jeans are from Marshalls so they were probably half off retail. Then you get to my feet and the crazy expensive Chanel flats. But you would never know from looking at this outfit that there is such a price discrepancy. I love when outfits happen to work out like this, it shows that you don't need a ton of money to dress well, you just have to work with what you've got! Even if I didn't have my flats, this would still be a great outfit! In my totally unbiased opinion...
Silk Top: thrifted, Kimono: thrifted, Jeans: Mother c/o Marshalls, Flats: Chanel (eBay), Necklace: Marrin Costello (availble soon!), Bracelets c/o 31 Bits, Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Gilt)
I love the jacket that you're wearing (seriously, that's a great find).

Well of course it would, but a little Chanel never hurt anybody.

I agree with you - I think that that's where the secret of true style is.
ReplyDeleteAnd most important, that the things you wear, its because you really like them and not because of the brand itself.
Such a pretty color and print of ur jacket! Hope you are having a wonderful day!

This is why you are a true fashionista.
ReplyDeleteYou mix it up- no one likes a head to toe designer look. Mixing in vintage or a thrift store find is genius and makes an outfit unique!!!!
You look fabulous!!!!!

Love the colours in this outfit - that kimono is such a pretty piece! :)
ReplyDeleteI think you're right too - it's not about hoe much something costs, it's how you wear it :) Although I can't help but splurge on accessories, I spend much less on the clothes I wear them with! :)

It's always a good feeling to mix something thrifted with a designer brand. You always find such good deals!
ReplyDeleteSo true! I love mixing my thrifted and cheap buys with more upscale things. In the end, it's all how you work it! Love how the Chanel flats bring it all together! Too cute!
