I've decided to turn this week into monochromatic week, so here's a third one for you! This dress was my sisters but I rescued it from her "get rid of" pile before it was donated. Sadly, I ripped the dress getting out of my car! I was pulling it down and one of the ruffles just ripped right off. Can't decide if I should bother fixing it or not.
Speaking of closet-cleanouts. It is probably time for me to do another one. But it's so hard getting rid of things, you form attachments to them and they feel like a piece of you. Then you have to remind yourself that they are just things and don't define you.

That's a bummer that the dress ripped - it's so pretty. And I definitely need to do another closet purge too...things are really piling up!

I absolutely love this dres+cardi combo look - I say fix it.
ReplyDeleteI do love tropical prints, I can see why you rescued it!
ReplyDeleteI suppose if you think you will wear it more than once next summer, fix it. Otherwise let it go.
Letting go is hard.

That color looks great on you. So sad it ripped.
ReplyDeleteI love the dress, the design of the skirt portion is great.

That's a great dress on you - I love the shape. My vote is to fix it. :-) I'm probably overdue for another closet cleanout. I got rid of so much stuff earlier this year, so there's not much I want to part with. However, I have a lot of special occasion dresses that don't really need to take up space in my closet.
