For those of you that missed my guest post over at Stylelista Confessions last month, I'm posting it here today!
When Alex asked me to guest post while she was on vacation (jealous!) I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I broke out my new maxi skirt (a great thrift store find for $5) and came up with an outfit that I would wear on vacation. What I think is great about this outfit is that it can go from the beach to dinner with a few changes. I obviously showed it as the dinner option, but if you wore this to the beach just switch the shoes to flip flops, take off the jewelry and voila! You can also get rid of the tee as well and wear the maxi as a dress.
I am definitely taking this outfit with me for my beach vacation, sadly that is still a month away.
Song of the Day: Suite Judy Blue Eyes by Crosby, Stills & Nash; Woodstock version
Tee: Kohl's, Skirt: unknown (Coco's $5 sale), Purse: Fossil (hand me down), Belt: Kenneth Cole Reaction (Marshalls), Wedges: Burberry (The Outnet), Sunglasses: Ray Ban 'Emma' (Marshalls), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Jewelry: Urban Outfitters earrings, Urban Outfitters ring, Ten Thousand Villages bracelets, SparkleFarm necklace & Mom's rings

I love this vacay look! I agree it can work for both the beach and to go out for dinner or lunch, but it can be definitely be a great one for summer in the city too, this teal color is lovely on you! I fell for your gold wedges!

How very pretty - this is such a nice skirt. I am thinking you can also wear it as a tube top dress and layer a white crisp button down shirt.
ReplyDeleteOh, nice find! I love the way you styled it. The wedges and gold belt definitely complete the look.
