{outfits} This Week in Fashion

Happy Friday! I'm excited for the weekend to begin, I have lots of fun things planned.  Meeting up with some friends, shopping and going to my Aunt's house for a sleepover (to watch The Hobbit and get a massage! Woo!) My first week at my new place of residence has been lovely, except for the two gross spiders in my room. My commute still takes the same amount of time but somehow it's easier even though I have to drive for 25 minutes in traffic to get to the train instead of 8 minutes.

Also, I think I am doomed to be single forever.  I cannot handle myself around boys (or people in general for that matter.) Get ready for the most boring/pointless story ever that has me very depressed:
So yesterday on my ride to NYC I sat behind a boy on the train and thought nothing of it.  When we were pulling into Grand Central he stood up and hit his head on the suitcase rack thing and of course I laughed to myself (don't worry, he didn't notice.)  Then as people were leaving the train he dropped his metro card and everyone was just stepping over it so he couldn't get it. So when I got there I picked it up for him and gave it back.  He said "Thanks so much!" and I said "You're welcome" with my cute smile (aka not really) and left the train.

I was walking pretty quickly and weaving in and out of people and all of a sudden he was next to me again and said "I just wanted to thank you again! Most people would have just walked right over it and I never would have gotten it back." All I could muster was "No problem! *smile*" then we were still next to each other for a bit and I could tell he wanted to say something else but I wasn't really looking at him (because I'm shy and awkward)...then we turned different ways.... It was the PERFECT Meet Cute and I ruined it!

  1. Don't beat yourself up too much - maybe you just need a guy that's more direct and asks you out!

  16. Awww, situations like that are always awkward.... I'll never forget chatting to this guy on the train and when we arrived and were walking to the ticket barrier, I dropped my purse and everything went everywhere. When I looked up, after scrabbling all my things, the guy was GONE! Your train guy sounds much nicer!! :)Let's hope he gets that train all the time. ;-)

Anyways, loving Monday & Tuesday's outfits, both pair of jeans are fab on you!

  18. You ARE really nice to do that. I'm like you - why not help a person if you can. But shake off the shyness, it's very freeing to be blunt and forward.:) I really like your D&G heels from the Monday outfit!
