This may have been my biggest "bargain" ever...until 5 days later that is (but we'll get to that another day.) Last Monday I had the day off, so I decided to take the half hour trek to Roundabout Resale in Westport. They were having a pretty big sale and then additional clearance pieces. I went through the whole store and found so many great pieces to try on, from Chloe, Stella McCarntney, Proenza Schouler, Chanel and even Hermès! They have an amazing selection of pieces at reasonable prices! I definitely recommend checking them out, there are a bunch of locations.
In the clearance section I came upon this ruched dress. The moment I saw it peeking out in between some bulky sweaters I knew I found a gem. It was marked $125, but was an additional 50% off so I paid $62. This dress retailed for at least $2200; it was from Burberry Prorsum's F/W 2009 line (see here and here.)
You can thank Christine and Lydia for making me buying this vest...I almost didn't get it because it was a bit expensive ($40...haha) for something at Marshalls. It was French Connection and retailed for $288 so they convinced me. But that deal pales in comparison with my new dress!
Song of the Day: Don't Pass Me By by The Beatles
Dress: Burberry Prorsum (Roundabout Resale), Vest: French Connection (Marshalls), Heels: Miu Miu (eBay), Necklace: Acanthus Jewelry (giveaway), Watch: Michael Kors (Lord & Taylor)
* I know I am covered, but I still feel a little exposed in this dress because my chest shows, ha ha...I'm used to being totally covered up so it's a new thing for me. Anyone else ever feel like that?
