The latest issue of NET-A-PORTER's online magazine featured all things French and was called "The Paris Portfolio"! The issue contains interviews with fashionable French women such as Isabel Marant, French designers to keep a lookout for, beauty tips, how to dress with the simplicity of the French and much more! There is also a video where French women (and men) talk about the secrets of French style.
Doesn't it make you jealous how effortless they look all the time?! Well
today I have a few quick tips on how you can dress like the beautiful
Parisian hiding inside of you! (that sounded weird, but let's
pretend it makes sense) I've decided to create a couple looks using some of the classic french pieces we all know and love: the striped shirt, skinny pant, flats and the trench!
You can put your own twist on this look and come up with infinite variations that fit your own personal style. For example, you can wear a striped top with sequins on it (or perhaps different types of stripes), trade the pants for shorts or switch the basic flats for sequin brogues or flat sandals. You also want to make sure you keep your accessories simple, the French are known for not going over the top.

For more inspiration on dressing this way, I suggest you check out Becky May's blog: The Flower Girl. She may be a Brit but she dresses like a Parisian, I am in awe of how simply she dresses - she always looks amazing.
