Last week I was bad again. First, on Wednesday night I was checking out ASOS for High Tea dresses. I narrowed down from about 15 that were under $200 to 2. I decided to order both of them and return one or both depending on how they looked and if I found something better/cheaper. I also found an AMAZING sweater by A|Wear and bought it even though it was $45. That was a HUGE splurge for me, especially considering I get most of my pieces for $30 or under...but I think it will be a great piece for summer so it's okay. So here are my new pieces, I can't wait for them to arrive (click to go to the product pages):
Also, I've been lusting over the Zara leopard skirt (and dress) for MONTHS and I found a seller on eBay who had them for $30! Jamie-Lee reminded me how much I wanted it when she wore it in a recent outfit post, so I quickly checked eBay and it was there!
FINALLY I went to TJ Maxx on Saturday to do some more High Tea searching, I also wanted to find some tops and bottoms since they are sorely lacking in my wardrobe and I can't wear dresses all summer (well I could, but I should mix it up). I didn't find any dresses but there were a bunch of nice tops and I walked out with 3. I almost bought a green lace maxi skirt but it wouldn't have gone with anything in my closet. I may just go to the fabric store and make my own...would be cheaper. Anyway, here are the 3 tops I got, they came to about $38.
So there you have it...we're only a week into the month and three quarters my budget is gone on 5 items. The dresses don't count because I budgeted myself $200 for my High Tea dress/outfit in my London spending. :) But just watch, I'll end up wearing a dress I already have to High Tea because nothing else will be good enough. *sigh* (but at least that means I'll be returning stuff)
I'm also thinking of returning that Proenza Schouler for Target dress I got but I can't decide...GRR! Getting $40 back would be nice, but I do love the dress...
I love the dress from ASOS (the flower print dress) Its taking every bit of me to not do some online shopping this AM lol
ReplyDeleteThe leopard print skirt is amazing
ReplyDeleteCan you return the dress to target, wait around for them to reprice it and put it back on the racks, and then buy it again? because i was there this weekend and all the go international dresses (not that there were many) were $10.
ReplyDeleteI Really love the first coral dress. I hope it works, I think it would be perfect for you tea. Fingers crossed!

I think either of those dresses would be gorgeous for high tea. I especially love the floral one. And that sweater is going to be awesome! I have a pretty similar one from a charity shop, although I'm still trying to make it go with my stuff. But my stuff is different from your stuff anyway. ; )
ReplyDeleteI've been hemming and hawing about buying the Zara skirt from the same ebay seller...I love it so much!

I love the floral dress form Asos, I'm a fan of Asos myself. As for the animal print skirt - It's super beautiful; I've also seen they have a maxi version at Zara, unfortunately, here in Romania, Zara it’s outrageously overpriced so one of my missions in life is to never buy from them. So far, so good!:)))) I’m a new follower!
