Seventies: The easiest way to get the 70s look is to grab a pair of super wide legged jeans and add a pretty top tucked in to them like Derek Lam or Elie Tahari. Some clogs wouldn't hurt either. You can also go for the Brady Bunch look a la Rodarte's collection. Or wear a 70s like dress as seen in Marc Jacobs' collections.
Rather than doing a full look for this trend I decided to pick some pieces you can incorporate into your wardrobe because wearing all 70s stuff could look a bit time-warpy. ;) The green skirt isn't exactly cheap, but I really liked it so I included it anyway, ha ha.
Buy it: Zig-Zag Dress, Jeans, Long Pink Dress, Pink Shorts, Green Skirt

Looooove the long dress! <3
ReplyDeleteI like the jeans a lot. I know GAP has their similar 70s-esque pairs...I'm not sure which I'll be getting, but I know I better get my hands on some bell bottom-y trousers, and quick.

I love the 70's flare jeans, I really really wish I could have the Derek Lam ones, they are amazing!
ReplyDeleteLove the wide legged high waisted pants, I bought some a few years ago and just gave them away. Think they were too tight in the thighs to be flattering, maybe the key is to have them slightly loose in thighs. The Rodarte outfit is so cool.
ReplyDelete70s trend is definitely my favorite for Spring this year. Cant wait for the floppy hats!
