Daily Inspiration: Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2011

Today I'm featuring both the Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2011 collections! We all know how obsessed I am with Marc Jacobs so I don't need to elaborate on that ;)  First up is Marc Jacobs, for some reason I never like this line as much as MbMJ...very weird. I mean, I like the collections, I just don't picture myself wearing as many of the looks. But here are some of the looks I did like.
Now for Marc by Marc Jacobs! I LOVE the muted colors of this collection and the mixing of fabrics and prints, totally wearable!  Though I didn't feature many of them, I love the pops of green and other bright colors throughout this collection.

    I think I really liked both collections - they were very different in tone and cut but I was excited by the pieces in both.

    Love everything by Marc by Mj usually and love these pieces. He is always so slightly edgy but wearable. Love the brown spotty dress with the high (trainers?, not sure what those shoes are??).

    Love the 2nd look in MJ but the collection is too dark as a whole for me. The 6th look in MbMJ is fabulous!!I guess I have a thing for the polka dots :)

    Loving the Marc by Marc Jacobs collection a tad more simply because I like the softer, earthier shades. Though I adore both!

    Yup--don't like MJ, do like M by MJ A LOT though. The colors are fantastic! They have such an early-70s city girl feel to them, I think.

    Definitely with you on this one, I always prefer Marc by Marc to his main line. Especially the shoes!! When I lived in Tokyo we would go to the sample sales and score crazy bargains, I still wear some red buckled boots I got about 7 years ago for $100 or something like that. Love the shearling ones in that first Marc by Marc pic!
