As I posted yesterday we went to Jones Tree Farm to get our Christmas tree with my Grandparents. After we got the tree we went to my Grandma's for leftover turkey and soup. Then we went home and Dad put the lights on the tree and we decorated both our trees! My mom uses the real one for all her good ornaments and us children get the fake tree for all of ours. We do the same exact thing every year, wahoo! Here are some photos from the day! (click to make them larger, isn't it so much nicer with the lightbox)
Here are both our trees. (the santa and cow are my favorite ornaments ;) )

ReplyDeleteyay for festivities! this post makes me want a tree too..xx
ReplyDeleteooh this post is making me feel so festive!
ReplyDeletewe're decorating today - can't wait!
You have a beautiful Christmas tree. A Christmas tree is great:) Christmas is magical.
ReplyDeleteI love how every family has a different approach to decorating. Our tree simply groans under the weight of three generations worth of ornaments. Every year we finally get rid of some ancient broken things and every year someone will say something like "This is a nice camel (non-Christmas ornament). Shall we put it on the tree too?" I miss my tree covered in butterflies, kangaroos, airplanes and all other festive things!
ReplyDeleteAww, it's so cute your whole family goes to cut down the tree!
ReplyDeleteOur local place for cut your own stopped planting 5 years ago so last year we didn't know where to go and ended up getting a tree from big y 12 days before Christmas.
This farm looks lovely, but 40 mins is a bit too far for a tree...
Anyway, the tree is beautiful, thanks for Sharing your traditions!
What a great Christmas tree. Really love Christmas
