Here's the post that goes with my must have music: must watch movies!!!! These are the Christmas movies we (my family) watch every single year. The schedule for the last 4 movies is always the same, our favorite classics. Starting on December 19th we watch one each day in this order: It's a Wonderful Life, Holiday Inn, White Christmas and Scrooge. Click the DVD covers to read more and buy them! :D
Top 4 Favorites
The Classics - Rudolph and Santa Claus is Coming to Town are my favorite old Christmas Classics. And who can forget the Peanut's Christmas?!
The Santa Clause - These movies are a new-ish classic for Christmas movies, they may be new but they definitely capture the spirit of Christmas and are perfect for young kids. The first isn't new since its been 16 years, but 2 and 3 are newer. The third isn't as good as the first two, but its not bad.
Home Alone - Another set of classics, these movies are SO funny, I could watch them every day. But only the first 2, all the rest stink because they changed the characters and everything. I can't believe it's been 20 years since the first one came out, it makes me feel so old!
The Grinch - The Grinch is another classic, I love the cartoon and Jim Carey versions. A lot of people don't like the Jim version but I find it so funny...haha
Ernest Saves Christmas - This movie is sooo funny (I've been saying that a lot in this post...). Ernest is always getting into trouble and this movie is no different, but as usual he finds a way to save the day.
Bonus: The Twelve Days of Christmas - Here is one movie that we used to watch at my grandma's house that no one really knows about, it is so funny, I haven't seen it in years though because my Grandma got rid of the VHS (I should just buy the DVD)

ReplyDeleteWeird, I have barely seen any of these movies...I remember watching The Santa Clause wayyyyy back in the day (also got a kid's meal from Burger King with a toy "from" the movie), and I like Rudolph. All the others I haven't seen! Bah humbug, I guess, on my part!

MILK TEETHS
Just last year I saw Holiday Inn and White Christmas for the first time. They're wonderful! I'm surprised it took me so long to see Holiday Inn because I've always loved both Crosby and Astaire. You might like Christmas in Connecticut, it's an old classic with Barbara Stanwyck - it's cute, sweet and quite funny in the old screwball way. (:
ReplyDeletegreat post! i want the entire second row!
