I've been getting a lot of comments lately asking if I'm a personal shopper. Some of my family members even say I should be one. Do you think this is a sign that I should become a personal shopper?
I've always thought it would be a fun job since I love shopping and helping people find what works for them. But I think it would be really hard to do it as a career, even if I do just do it rarely. Do you know anyone who is a personal shopper? Have any tips if I ever decide to do it?
In my quick search I did find a few websites with tips and one site even has courses to help you become a personal shopper; Sterling Style Academy. They are expensive though, so I wouldn't be able to afford the courses. I'll have to do some more searching and see if there are other places to learn the business side of it.
Since we're talking about personal shopping I decided to do a Dress for Less in this post as well so its not just me ranting. I'm featuring clothes from Rare Fashion, an online store in the UK that I discovered a few weeks ago. I haven't purchased anything yet, since I'm broke, but they have some great items if you search around!
Top - Rare Fashion £20 / ~$30.53
Shorts - Rare Fashion £10 / ~$15.27
Shoes - ASOS $18.19 if you use the code ASOSTREATS ($20.21 without code)
Bag - ASOS $18.19 if you use the code ASOSTREATS ($20.21 without code)
Headband - ASOS $3.03 if you use the code ASOSTREATS ($3.37 without code)
TOTAL: $85.21 ($89.59 without ASOS code)
Those flats are super cute!! Maybe you should try out the personal shopping gig, you might find something you love, since your already really good at coming up with outfits!

I love the idea of becoming a personal shopper.. but then I think about getting clothes for anyone's body type than mine and I start to be less excited haha! Maybe it's not meant to be for me.

Mmm, I like those shoes with that top! I think being a personal shopper could be pretty stressful though, working for people with lots of money and no sense! Still, someone's got to do it!
ReplyDeleteGreat picks! Love the shorts. Unfortunately, I have no tips for becoming a personal shopper...sorry!

cool blog!! :)
ReplyDeleteI think being a personal shopper would be a lot of fun :)
ReplyDeletebeing a personal shopper might be fun! But I might be too tempted to buy things for myself while shopping for someone else LOL
ReplyDeleteHow does one become a personal shopper? Because that would be my dream job! I can't imagine being able to shop for other people, using their money, AND getting paid for it! Of course, my entire paycheck would probably go into fashion because I'd be around it constantly and always seeing new things I had to have for myself, lol!

Oooo I love those draped tanks that are longer in the front than in the back. That floral one is pretty perfect.
ReplyDeletelove it !
ReplyDeleteCute outfit. I think it's a great idea to become a personal shopper. Especially since you have a knack for it and you like doing it. It would probably be a hard field to get into though. You definitely would need a lot of connections.
ReplyDeleteI love the flats! God.. I think it would be so fun to be a personal shopper - although I would probably find it slightly depressing that all the things I was helping this other person find weren't making their way into my closet lol

love the styling. :]
ReplyDeleteThanks for the dress for less site tip. I love the shorts :)
ReplyDeleteI think you would be a great personal shopper...unfortunately I don't know anyone who is. But my tip is, rather than going to school....
Find someone who is a successful personal shopper, and ask them to be your mentor. I have a fashion designer in Paris who is my mentor. Found him through a contact...and he was super flattered when I asked him for help... he's taught me so much!
You can do it!! :)
