Fashion Related Movies

I've been on a fashion related movies kick recently. I really love going behind the scenes and learning the history of these things. Especially watching how the designers are inspired and how they work.

So far I've watched The September Issue, Coco Chanel and Coco Before Chanel. Before that I had watched The Devil Wears Prada, Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Crimes of Fashion and some others I'm forgetting.

In the future I am planning on watching these; Lagerfeld Confidential, Valentino: The Last Emperor, Chanel, Chanel, Unzipped and Yves Saint Laurent - His Life and Times/5 Avenue Marceau 75116 Paris!

Do you know of any other good fashion related movies I should watch? Post them in the comments!

  1. This is a really cute blog! I like your post about fashion related movies.

I saw the September Issue in theaters and I LOVED it. It is so interesting how all the Vogue people work together and make each issue with painstaking perfection.

Other than the Devil Wears Prada, I haven't really seen any fashion-type movies lately. I was watching some old 1940's movies with my Mom over the weekend and I fell in love with the costume design....Other than that the most fashion-y things I watch are Gossip Girl and America's Next Top Model!

And yea, I really want to work at Vogue but I know I don't have a chance.

Yea, I love Next Top Model, and Project Runway when it comes to tv shows :D

  3. Never stop dreaming for Vogue! Hey, who knows, this blog may get you out there and make you famous! I would love to work for a fashion magazine too, I have always wanted to design clothing (but I can't sew for my life!)...

  5. Ooh! I need to watch those! I think I've only watched The Devil Wears Prada and Confessions of a Shopaholic because they're kinda more comercial.

I also love watching all of this BTS of fashion (and movies xD) especially of magazines. I watched the now cancelled reality Stylista and I loved it, it'd be awesome to have a job like that, I'm in advertising but being a fashion magazine editor would be awesome. Of course I'd need more fashion knowledge though. :P
