This is the last of the vacation photos. *sad face* Anyway, on Monday July 11th the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II New York City premiere was held and, once again, I was in the press section! There weren't as many stars at this premiere and they were also pretty rushed so we didn't get to see everyone. All of my NYC premiere photos may be seen here at Magical-Menagerie!
Before I get to these photos I figure I should talk about about my love for Potter and the movies. You guys all know that I am a HUGE fan, I've been a fan since 1998 when the first book was released in the US so this really was the end of my childhood. I saw the movie on July 7th in London before the premiere and cried for at least 3/4 of it for tons of reasons (seeing a loved character, a sad part, general happiness and anything else you can think of...). It was all that I hoped it would be and I'm pretty sure its my favorite of the films so far, but I need to see it a few more times to be sure. ;) I am so thankful to JK Rowling for all she has done, Harry Potter helped me to find so many lifelong friends, helped me figure out that I wanted to be a graphic/web designer AND it helps me to escape when I am depressed or in need of cheering up. I can always count on Harry Potter being there, its like going back home when I read the books. *sigh* [/END LONG SAPPY PARAGRAPH]
At this premiere Matt's publicist was looking for me and when he found me he pointed me out to Matt's handler so she would know where to send him. He came right over to me and I think he was going in for another hug but I stupidly gave him the birthday present I brought My section of the press was one of the only ones he stopped at (he also stopped at MTV, E! and a few other big places ;) ) So yeaaa....that was the highlight of the premiere again.
Next up is the lovely Tom Felton who is the opposite of his character. We had a lovely chat with Tom and then I noticed he had some red on his wrist so I pointed it out, then it took us a bit for me to show him where it was, he decided it was blood and that lead to my face in one of the below photos. I find it very amusing, ha ha.
And lastly we have Rupert Grint, David Yates and Daniel Radcliffe!
And here are the video interviews, only 1 video this time.

Oops, missed this at first... well... it just sounds awesome, but you know that. Harry Potter wasn't really something I connect with childhood, but I do think they're fantastic books and a huge inspiration. And I certainly like returning to them again and again (not as much as you though, haha). And I'm going to say again that you should move to London and marry Matt Lewis. ; D He's cute and you're cute and it would be the perfect Harry Potter fairytale. : )
ReplyDeleteSo amazing you got to be a part of this!
ReplyDeleteNicee! im so jealous you got to go to this one too!!!!
